Sue can provide superb food for any party occasion and has hosted a number of very large gatherings from cricket club dinners to wedding receptions in the past. Special Outings

From time to time The Avon Packet arranges special visits - notably in the past to horse racing events. These are no ordinary pub excursions but provide the highest quality food and drink with top class travel to and from the venue. Two years ago the Avon Packet went to the West Indies to watch a Test Match.

The Garden

The Avon Packet has a spacious garden which has been planted with a variety of flowers and shrubs to make your summer evenings even more enjoyable. For the children there are swings and a tree house with a slide as well as a small duckpond to keep them amused. For the historian there is, of course, the original bear baiting pit that you have to cross over on a footbridge. A unique and memorable feature of this characterful pub.

Following the introduction of the no smoking in public places rule introduced on July Ist 2007, the Avon Packet has a dedicated smoking area at the rear of the building
